Very good reception by host. Room was cleaned vary well. Kitchen has all modern appliences. Room with nice balcony and view of the central garden. Good sunbens and parasols. Spacious apartment with a balcony overlooking the ocean located right in the heart of Santa Maria, just a 3-minute walk from the beach and a 1 to 5 minute walk to amazing restaurants and shops. The apartment has a bottle of water, towels, very comfortable matress, beach towels(!), all necessary kitchen utensils, and a new air conditioner. The apartment has good windows that block out most of the street noise, you just need to close them. The transfer from and to the airport was excellent and I also had a private tour of the island with the driver Jaime..

The apartment is perfectly located for the beach which is only a 5 minute walk, and the town at around 10 minutes to the pedestrian street and its restaurants. It was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for our stay. Although we didn’t use it, the pool is clean and well maintained as is the apartment complex. There are a couple of mini-markets on the doorstep for essentials. Ponta Preta beach is close enough to walk with a couple of beach bars. Zuela is the perfect host, on hand when needed but not intrusive, she couldn’t have been better.
