Just little touches, like the art work and photos on the walls and the vase of fresh wildflowers in the kitchen window. It's out of town within a walkable distance, and is very quiet and peaceful. Alexander was the perfect host, and fun to talk to. This will be the first place I'll look to stay on my next trip to the Orkneys.

The bed was comfortable, the kitchen and living room were nicely done, and there was a washer/dryer (though I did not use it). It was in a great location; the pub around the corner was wonderful, and so were the locals I met there.

The apartment has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. Amazing little cottage that is just the thing for experiencing what we imagine living in isolation in beautiful Scotland is like. Without all the work and isolation. Cosy place overlooking the ocean, with everything we needed, and our own chickens!
