The flat felt very open and spaceous which enabled us to feel alot more relaxed during our stay. The naval/ port theme throughout the flat gave it a great personal and homely touch as well as geared us both up to visit Charlestown, a stones throw away from the flat. The hosts were amazing at letting us know prior to arrival how to access the building which was a huge life saver for my wifes bladder upon arrival on such a long journey. The hosts were also able to very quickly replace a broken microwave with a brand new replica of the original; this might not seem like alot to most but it was a pretty big lifesaver for the next days dinner plans. Upon arrival we were also greeted with some local biscuits, cold water in the fridge, a sheet of instructions to use the heaters and recommendations for the local area. This made us both feel incredibly welcome amd kicked off our honeymoon to a great start. All ammenities were available also, from iron and boards, cups, plates, bowls, mugs, pans, trays, the lot. Which was a huge help in chosing some meals to stay in and cook with.

Quay View is situated in St Austell, 700 metres from Polkirt Beach, 700 metres from Polstreath Beach, as well as 34 km from Newquay Train Station. The property is around 16 km from Eden Project, 23 km from St Catherines Castle and 24 km from Truro Cathedral. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Little Polstreath Beach is 600 metres away.

The accommodation surpassed our expectations. It is perfectly located in the cute narrow streets just behind the harbour quay. It has a bakery, small grocery and shops just around the corner. The accommodation is a fully equipped, newly renovated little house, street level entrance, with the living room on first floor. 2 separate bedrooms, both with separate toilets. A modern bathroom and kitchen. Nice views from the windows to the streets below (and a peek view to the quay). Parking is not possible in the street, but one can drop off luggage 50m away and park the car on a large general payed carpark (8 pounds/day, 21 pounds/3days) just a 5 minute walk away. The owner responded quickly and solved a small pottery problem we had perfectly.

This is an extremely comfortable living space with attention to detail to enable comfort. The decor is 'puffy boudoir' and fulfills the needs of any holiday maker or couple wishing to explore the surrounding sights. Easy access to clay mine walks and to Charlestown on foot (latter a 2km walk but you are straight on to coast, beaches and coastal walks). Town is around 1km away. Shops are nearby. Extremely comfortable double bed.
