We booked for two nights, but we were having a tough time leaving (even to see the Pena Palace on day 2). The sound of the waves were so relaxing, even with all the wind. we weee concerned about no having a car, but it’s 10 euro with an Uber to the Sintra main station and 15 euro to Pena palace (in May 2023)

A gem. This is my favorite accommodation I've ever encountered in Portugal -- and I've been there four times. The location is absolutely perfect, perched in Azenhas do Mar above the beach and a natural ocean pool. It's a quick drive from tons of great beaches (Praia da Ursa is amazing!) as well as the palaces of Sintra. It was peaceful, spacious, charmingly/thoughtfully decorated, and had excellent outdoor space. The kitchen is well equipped and the property even has a washing machine. Mário and Cátia were wonderful, very communicative, and went to great efforts to track us down when they discovered we had left something valuable at the property upon leaving. A truly wonderful experience, thank you!
