Absolutely everything was perfect. The hospitality, the ambience, the cleanliness, the location - everything is spot on! The design of the hotel I loved - it’s a new hotel but incorporates the es essence and details of the historical Zanzibar. I’ve stayed in other hotels in Stone town, and many tend to be old and made from wood, which provides you ambience but is prone to insects. Here most furnitures are concrete with some wood and it balances perfectly. I would love to return. The staff are extremely welcoming and will accommodate your needs.

Shoki Shoki house was booked last minute for 3 night and it did not disappoint. The general manager, David, was very helpful and honest when we sat down to ask him about the island and Serengeti safari. The property did not disappoint and the location was ideal, a close walk to the beach, the market and restaurants. Really nice and warm feeling of the hotel, beautiful colors, design and decorations, great location and quiet for being in the middle of the Stone Town. The room we got was spacious (we chose the 25m2 room) with enough space for luggages and clothes. We even had our own terrace outside the room, which was just amazing! The staff was very friendly and professional and the breakfast had many options to choose from! The hotel even offers water for free for the guests to replenish the water bottles! You can find these water coolers on the corridors of the hotel!
