I spent a night at Shaba Boutique Hotel before flying out of Zanzibar and it was perfect. I was able to check in a bit earlier and the room was stunning, the bed and all the decor felt true to Stone Town and the staff were so friendly and helpful in arranging transport to the airport as well. The breakfast was excellent in the morning. Location was great, during the night it can be intimidating walking the streets but it really isn't too far from the typical tourist spots. I would stay again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend.

I had been to quite a few places advertised well online and not delivering in person. This place was amazing all the way around. I was at a point where I just needed to feel safe and have cell service. The palace was that for me but also stunningly beautiful and friendly. I was safe, super comfortable, had WiFi in my room. And I would go there over and over. They even let me leave my bags after I checked out because my flight was late at night. I had to be out of my room but was still able to hang out in the lobby, use the pool and walk around knowing my things were safe.
