Thanks to the TA community , I had zeroed on in staying at Varenna and in particular at Hotel Olivedo. I am so happy I did that. Bellagio is not on the train route. Hotel olivedo is 4-5 minute walk from the rail station and right on the ferry terminal which is a huge plus in these locations.

The colourful rooms at Mamma Ciccia are decorated with simple, light furniture. Offering cable TV and air conditioning, they have private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries. Very good location. The reception is amazing if you do not speak Italian and they are very kind and always here to give you help and tips to visit. They helped me for the ferry. The room is super clean with a kettle and tea and a mini fridge. The area is calm with everything you need. So much better than the business of bellagio or varenna. The locals are very nice. The hotel breakfast is great with all you need as a buffet. Also I had dinner at the café from the restaurant and the lasagna, the raviolis and the chianti wine was so good. I really loved the raviolis its the best I ever had. Will def come back. Grazie mille !

Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The property is allergy-free and is located 32 km from Villa Melzi Gardens. The apartment was secure, open and spacious. It was spotless and included all the facilities you could wish for! The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is lovely. Fans were available to use and the smell of the apartment was gorgeous! Location is walkable from the train station and other key areas in Mandello del Lario. Marco was really accommodating to our needs and requests, he provided loads of information on the area including business cards for local restaurants etc which was a really nice (and useful) touch. Couldn't think of a better place to stay really!

We were impressed by her renovation of her house. Exquisite!

A good location for a stress-free holiday in Mandello del Lario, Picobello Lago is a guest house surrounded by views of the mountain. The property features a garden, shared lounge and parking on-site among other facilities. The property has lake and garden views, and is 300 metres from Lido Mandello del Lario. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The host was really helpful, she even send us some places to go for food and full instructions for check in. She offered us a welcome drink and some snacks. Also the view was amazing, you could see the mountain and it was pretty close to the train station and the lake. It is a very quiet neighborhood and we felt very safe every hour of the day. I would definately recommend it to spend vacation there!
