This will be a long review: One thing to keep in mind before booking: if you're coming in from Belize City and require a ferry to Caye Caulker, the last boat leaves at 5:30pm. You might have to book a rental for the night in the city and then ride the ferry next day. The kind host called a taxi to pick me up and take me to the ferry. Upon arriving at The Novelo, a woman who lived next door contacted my host. (I didn't have a Belizian sim card). Shortly after, I was greeted by Max, the host's son. He brought me to my rental, the 'Blue Abel'. He kindly welcomed me and explained all the things I needed to know about staying there. After he left, his kind and beautiful girlfriend greeted me. She answered all of my questions and we had a lovely conversation. She and Max live on the 2nd floor, right above the rental, so they were easily accessible. The host was also very kind and answered any questions I had. She even called me beautiful~ (Bless her heart~ ^_^*) The rental is very large and is located right on the beach. Inside is beautifully decorated with mosaic art, charming prints, lovely furniture, and a great library. The bathroom was beautifully designed, with hot water that never wavered. The wifi was very stable. There were no mosquitoes nor crawling bugs. I slept very, very well. It was dark outside and I was very hungry. No one was available to drive me by golf-cart, so I rode one of the bicycles. [I guess this was the one thing I didn't like: None of the bicycles were cleaned and/or prepared for use. They were caked in grey mud. I chose the bicycle with the least mud on it. Bad-part, fin.] TIP FOR RIDING THE BICYCLES AT NIGHT: There are no street lamps. The host has head-lamps for you to use. Regarding the large puddles; DO NOT RIDE AROUND THEM. The mud is soft and slippery, which might cause you to fall or get your shoes dirty. Ride through the puddles because there is stable ground that will support your ride-through.

At the bed and breakfast, units have a outdoor furniture. Complete with a private bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower and free toiletries, the units at the bed and breakfast have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and selected rooms here will provide you with a seating area. At the bed and breakfast, the units come with bed linen and towels.

What an easy going and fun atmosphere. Location seemed to be perfectly centered on the island and still private. If you are an animal lover and looking for a quieter place to stay, book here. Two sweet playful domestic dogs and 4 tropical birds (all very happy and beautifully cared for) live outside your door. Very nice homemade breakfasts and coffee brought to your porch or the roof top seating area each morning. Big wrap around windows for a sea breeze at night or ice cold air. Overall very fun and very welcoming. We will be back for sure.

Clean & quiet in a great location. They have bike rentals at very reasonable rates but we mostly walked everywhere. There is a loud bar next door but once inside our room it was not noticeable. We felt we had good value for the price.

Awesome location! We were so close to everywhere and could walk, but also tucked away from the main strip where it was quiet and cozy. The breakfast and happy hour were top notch 10/10. I loved the private dock access where you get awesome sunsets every night.

Everything met or exceeded our expectations right from the moment we were picked up at the water taxi by the owner Francis we felt very welcome. It was so nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the center yet close enough that a quick bike ride on the complementary bikes or a nice short walk and you could find some tasty treats at the bakery or delicious fresh fruit or juice. An evening dinner was a short enjoyable walk away.

Had a great time in the beachfront apartments. Proper and all the kitchen stuff we needed. The private jetty has hammocks in the shade which are perfect to chill. Quiet but just 200m from the village center. The local staff was knowledgeable and could organize everything we needed. 10/10 would stay again.

If I could give Colinda 11 stars out of 10, I would! From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome thanks to their friendly and helpful staff. The cabana was compact but cleverly arranged to be fully functional, we had everything we needed and more. Hot water worked perfectly every day, so did the AC and fan. Everything was clean, tidy and beautiful. Watching sunrise on the private dock was one of the highlights of our trip! The location is perfect, so quiet and peaceful but super close to everything in town. Highly recommended!

Charming little cabin with air con and well sized. Location was really great. About a five minute walk to the start of main strip but I like walking and it meant it was super quiet. Bug was welcoming on check-in and the pool and private pier were nice touches.
