Edwin and Diana made us feel at home from the start. Their positive energy made everyone feel at home and made all guests feel like one big family:) This is one if the best hostels in the world that we have stayed in! The room was sparkling clean, the wifi worked great for remote work, the kitchen was fully equipped. Edwin and Diana gave us many great local tips. And we got to go all of us on a walk in Communa 13 and hear the story from a locals standpoint. We are really grateful for everything, and our cat Floki loved it as well :) We highly recommend staying at Serrania hostel next time you visit Medellin!

Ricardo is a fantastic host. Allowed me to check in early since my bed was available. Throughout my stay, I constantly noticed him taking care of the hostel, and the facilities were always clean; you can see he cares a lot about it. I stayed in the 5-bed dorm, which didn’t have a toilet inside the room. There is one shared toilet with a shower, and in case one is occupied, we can always use the one in the 6-bed dorm. The bed is slightly hard, but I spelt super good. The curtains in each bed allow for more privacy and to block the light. The hostel is full of little details that make your life easier, like a reading light for each bed and power adaptors. The location is super close to the metro to Comuna 13 and very chill.

We loved this hostel! We were actually just going to stay a couple of days but ended up staying 3 whole weeks. The manager does a great job making you feel comfortable, and the 3 cats and the little dog make you feel even more at home. There is a lot of space to work (so definitely a great place for digital nomads), the wifi is fast and strong, and it is usually quiet - so it is perfect to get some work done. The kitchen is clean and well-equipped, and you can use the fridge and everything to store your stuff. The neighborhood is great. It's safe, local, untouristy, and super green. There are a lot of great cafés and restaurants around.
