Check out Christakis Kebab shop next to the bus station. Excellent value and excellent traditional Cyprus kebabs. Nicosia's old town is very safe to walk around, even at night. Fascinating buildings, history and the ceasefire line that cuts across the city.

Residence hall staff were very friendly and happy to help. It was an ideal location as my conference was at the university just across the street. If you are coming for an event at the university campus, it is a great location. Nicosia city center is 30 minutes away by bus (15 by taxi).
