This Hütte was way beyond what we expected. I'll start with the staff. We were running late for check-in and the rest of our party was running even later. Our hostess, Branka was so fantastic! She waited for us to arrive to welcome us and even waited way later than was necessary just to welcome the rest of our party. The next morning she and her husband had a wonderful breakfast ready for us and the other guests (by the way, the eggs were the best we have had anywhere). Branka was so hospitable and made sure every detail was covered. After a day of fun on the mountain coaster (Todtnau) and exploring the area we returned for dinner. We were able to meet more of the wonderful staff. Jerko was our host for dinner and was also fantastic. He was super personable and spent time answering all of our questions, including the history of the Hütte. The facilities themselves were of a good age (well over 100 years old) but have been kept in great condition. They were super clean and very well cared for. The location was quite breathtaking. The Hütte sits nearly at the top of the mountain and has views for days. It is a bit remote but that is what made it so amazing. There are so many places to hike and explore right out of the front door. This is now one of our new most favorite places in the world. We can't wait to return for our next adventure. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The owner was really nice and welcoming. He offered me gluten free options for the breakfast too. Although the toilet and shower weren't in the room everything was so clean.

It’s a amazing place, you will enjoy every moment of it, if you can speak German you can communicate better with the host. Location is very good, 5 minutes away from Lidl store and restaurants. My friend and I loved it.

Beautiful property set in a great place. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. We had 10 different rooms and none of them looks the same. Room 14 were the best. Even you pay little extra ask for it.

We were greeted perfectly, right from the train station, where Andrea picked us up (and also dropped us off on the last day). We were put in the Tannensuite (Fir tree Suite), which was a completely wood-lined suite with 2 stories, charming alpine decor and a huge terrace all for the two of us. Home-baked muffins greeted us in the bedroom. The plumbing & heating is modern, so nothing to worry there. It gets cold at nights, even in the summer. The view behind their cottage of the mountains was so relaxing and the forest or mountains could be reached within a short walk. There are so many trails and hiking paths to explore. We covered a few but not all. The hosts, Andrea & Robert, were super friendly and treated us as their family. They drove us one evening to an amazing restaurant deep within the Black Forest and we all had dinner together. Andrea also dropped us at the spa in Titisee where we spent one day. The breakfast was homemade and perfect! Everything was planned so beautifully and served on charming plates. The butter and the ham was from the Black Forest, the cheeses were from France & Italy. Andrea made us fresh eggs and even got us Weißwurst (German white sausage) when we asked for it. The town is also so idyllic and our hosts had booked us a table each night at a local restaurant. We were really well-taken care of! Highly recommended to visit this place, if you love small-town charm, home baked goods, and mountains.
