The host was friendly, but doesn't speak much English in person. Usually there is a nice breeze coming into the apartment, which keeps it at a perfect temperature. No mosquitos or other annoying insects! The beach is really nice to swim & okay for snorkeling (don't expect much marine life). Lots of dive shops in town & a small pharmacy.
