Super friendly people, good breakfast. I was checking out early, and was offered, unsolicited, a sandwich for the road. A sign in the rooms advises that a local church bell peals during the night, and offers earplugs. I never heard it.

The Poppy House supplied a very good breakfast--glad to see kippers on the menu. The accommodation had lots of character, being an old building in the centre of small quaint old market town. Surprisingly for such a location, the night was very quiet. Very convenient for walkers doing The Shropshire Way.

The directions were easy to navigate, and clear signage on approach, the welcome was friendly and the room was spacious with a great view and a very large comfy bed. Could've easily sat and watched the birds all day from the window. Clean bathroom with luxurious towels and extra touches with toiletries were thoughtful. great hosts, great location. Great to have use of a fridge and a guest lounge with informative leaflets on the area.

Great location on the quiet High street. I always managed to find parking on the street. Lounge was comfortable, TV was HD and had Netflix. Kitchen was well equipped, although there were no kitchen tongs, and no complimentary tea or coffee. Very large bedroom. Bathroom fairly small but more than adequate.

Quaint and remote. Quiet with fantastic views. The property had everything for a comfortable stay and was spotless when we arrived. The owner had left us a bottle of wine, chocolates and a bowl of fruit to welcome us. We will definitely return in the summer. This visit was just a short break and the weather wasn’t that great but we didn’t mind.

Welcoming and very friendly owners. Advice on places to eat, scenic walking routes and local nature. First hand experience of how farmers (it is a working farm) and b and b owners work extremely hard. Excellent breakfasts.
