An amazing, memorable stay. Chris was an incredibly hospitable host, served delicious breakfast and kindly drove us through the first on the first day to drop us off at a nearby town as well as to the station on our departure. He made us feel very much at home there and the room was spacious, clean and super comfy. 100% would return and highly recommend.

I stayed at Lyndhurst House for two nights with my friend. We stayed in the Pig room which was fantastic. It was extremely clean, recently decorated, had everything you could wish for that you need in a room. There was a kettle provided with a lovely selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as a bottle of water. The added bonus was a couple of packets of biscuits. The little touches made the place seem even more special. The hosts did a fab job. We were greeted by Nick who was very welcoming and introduced us to the surrounding area and both Alison and Nick were available if any issues came up. An excellent B&B and highly recommended if anyone is looking to stay in Lyndhurst.

Set in Lyndhurst and with The Mayflower Theatre reachable within 16 km, The New Forest Inn offers a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. The property is around 16 km from Southampton Guildhall, 18 km from Southampton Cruise Terminal and 32 km from Ageas Bowl. Salisbury Cathedral is 32 km from the inn and Salisbury Train Station is 32 km away.

The breakfast options were plentiful and the food was excellent. There were local beers on tap. The menu is a gastro pub menu and the food was outstanding. Just be aware that the rooms are above a pub, so you will hear the “locals” enjoying a pint! It was, however, quiet by 11:00 or earlier. Manager, Rob, was most accommodating as were Hannah, Alicia, Verity and Kyle. We also enjoyed chatting with the housekeeper, Violette. The New Forest Inn was located near trail heads into the New Forest. Downtown Lyndhurst is a one mile walk and has many shops, food establishments and The New Forest Heritage Museum.

John was a most gracious host - friendly and gregarious. His breakfasts are just the best and his dog Quentin quickly crept into our hearts. It was like visiting close and loved family. John also knows the area well and lives in a beautiful old house that we were privileged to share.

Excellent B&B in a great location for visiting the New Forest. Lovely rooms decorated to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Nick and Judith were great hosts who cooked up an excellent full english breakfast. Would highly recommend the place.

Whole experience was wonderful the pub/hotel was welcoming and cosy (would been better with the beautiful fires being lit). We stayed for 3 nights and was welcomed by Bunny who through our 3 days there was super helpful, appropriate able and nothing was to much trouble. Food was lovely and pub was clean as was the rooms. We was surprised at how quiet it was being next to a main road but didn't hear the traffic. Great location great staff and great pub/hotel. We are already planning our next trip back :)

Great location for the New Forest but also Lyndhurst itself. Just a 3 min walk into the centre which has so much choice of cafes, restaurants and boutiques. If you want to cook yourself there a Tesco, co-op and independent shops for groceries.

Excellent breakfast options. The staff are really friendly and attentive. The room was well thought out, and despite being on a crossroads its very quiet at night. A great location for exploring the new forest.
