Highly recommend staying here! We stayed for our last night in Scotland and it was the perfect farewell experience. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, delicious! I hade the pea risotto with pancetta paired with white wine and I’m drooling just thinking about it. The staff were so friendly and conversations were great! Views from the restaurant and the room were picturesque, especially seeing longboats and swans leisurely swimming in the nearby canal. We didn’t hear any noise from the floor below us or the rooms next to us during our stay, though we were very tired from our day of traveling. The bed was very comfortable, too! I wish it wasn’t raining while we were there so we could have enjoyed their outdoor space, looked like a great place to hang out. We walked around the canal footpath for a bit, very sweet and recommend. The Edinburgh airport is nearby enough that the drive in the morning was quick, but far away enough that there was no airplane noise. Pictures attached are the view of the canal from our room window, view of outside from our dining table, and view of the Inn from our walk on the canal footpath.

I loved how comfortable the place was. The garden was so adorable! In nicer weather I would have spent more time there. Shower was nice. Bed was comfy. The robes made my stay! and the comfy blankets! Lynda was so lovely and accommodating. She booked us a taxi for the following day, she made breakfast for us the night before so we can have it early before our flight!

It's very difficult to fault this property in any way. It's very comfortable and quiet, perfect for remedying any weariness. The staff are very efficient and professional. The restaurant is excellent, private shuttle to the airport, bus into the city centre on the doorstep (make sure you get on in the right direction), just a lovely place to stay if you want peace and quiet.

My stay was planned on the basis to find the unusual, not a big chain or any marketing hype. I did not seek luxury or frills. My stay was comfortable and i was well looked after - a bed and breakfast experience with additional privacy. Queensferry is a beautiful place to be and i recommend this as a destination. The Ravenous Beastie is in a wonderful location.

We received a lovely welcome. The hotel is in a great location, with both restaurants having amazing views. The food was absolutely delicious, both our evening meal and the breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. Comfortable room probably the quietest I've ever slept in. Would love to return.

We loved the stay at Dakota, was just expecting a cheap room for the night before we travelled on further into Scotland but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was cheaper than at the premier inn down the road. The staff were all excellent and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfy. The aesthetic of the place was very cool and boutique and it had a great bar and restaurant with an extensive cocktail list.

Very hospitable welcome, great location, good cooked breakfast though limited peripherals. Quiet room but limited natural light. Very good bathroom and shower with a soap rack (a rarity these days), but short on pegs for towels (common enough these days). Extra sheet provided on request (duvet too much for time of year). Dinners were excellent.
