Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Barns which is ideally located to explore North Norfolk, several National Trust sites in close proximity as are coastal towns of Cromer and Sheringham with Great Yarmouth only an hours drive away. The owners of The Barns made us very welcome and willing to have a chat with us at breakfast, there were plenty of choices for breakfast which were perfectly cooked and served.

Ronica is a very welcoming, warm & helpful hostess. Thornybank is a bit removed from the town but that is its charm. The animals there are delightful and what could be better than having fresh laid eggs each morning as part of Ronica’s exceptional breakfasts.

A beautiful old family run property set in lovely gardens with a short woodland walk to Cromer’s cliff top coastal path. I loved how the hotel maintains its historic charm yet has all the modern comforts. My single room was so cute and cosy. A nice touch were the luxury bathroom products such as soaps and body lotions. There were also great tea making facilities in the room with a plentiful selection of teas. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was brilliant. I’ll definitely return to the Grove.

A superb location with all the facilities required. Cromer and the surrounding towns are very quaint and easily accessible to walk to. Would recommend the Red Lion for food. Archiethe dog loved it.

The family-run Wellington Cromer is just 100 metres from Cromer’s beachfront and town centre. A flat-screen TV and a DVD player are included in each contemporary room. Real ales are served in the large Victorian bar, which shows Sky Sports on the TV and has a pool table and dartboard.

Hosts were superb. Great food. Buzzing pub. Very quick to get people out on there curfew (Bar) so makes it easier and nicer to sleep at a suitable time. They provided great service throughout the whole stay!

Welcome pack was an added extra, which meant we put the kettle on straight away, consisting of tea, coffee, milk, and a homemade cake this was a lovely touch. It was great to have Paula pop over to welcome us and let us know she was on hand if needed and the location of the information hut, which was great in finding local attractions. We hope to be back soon.

The property was clean and very comfortable. There was a lovely wooded area to walk the dog in on site and an outside seating area which we would have used if the weather was a little warmer. Spacious and close to our favourite places - made a great base for a holiday with child, dog and grandparents.

There is space for parking directly in front of the cottage together with a private decking area. Inside the cottage is two bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower and a open plan kitchen and living room. Everything was spotless clean and the owners even left a homemade cake and milk etc on our arrival which was a lovely touch. If you are looking for a quiet comfortable place for a few days exploring and relaxation this is recommended.

The cottage was lovely with a private garden for our little dog. The surroundings were beautiful and it was very quiet. We look forward to staying there again next year.
