Lovely little Shepherds hut, very private with its own grounds, hot tub and firepit. Great location onsite at the pub but far enough away not to hear any noise.

It's a quaint cottage with an interesting layout and a charming garden. The kitchen is well equipped and the living/dining area was spacious and comfortable. It's always nice to find a selection of teas, coffee and biscuits upon arrival! It's easy to walk or drive to Coniston and there's a pub and deli virtually opposite. The wi-fi is good - a bonus as phone signal was not strong.

I stayed in the Hideaway, a lovely little secluded room in the grounds of the Wheelgate guesthouse, my own private space with a seating area outside, I had an ensuite shower, toilet and sink, good WiFi and a TV, and a mini fridge, perfect for a quiet weekend escape. Lovely breakfast and very friendly, pleasant people, I will certainly recommend to friends and family.

Breakfast was great. I had plenty every morning. It is a no fuss B and B. I loved the little room with a bar which I was able to visit for a bit of socialising one evening. The owner was very sociable and friendly to me. Even the cat hopped onto my lap one evening so I couldn’t move for about an hour😊. Even though the building is on a main road, it was very quiet at night. The room though small, was very clean and served my needs. Good value for the location. 5 minutes to Coniston. 20 minutes to Ambleside.

This is the second time of coming to this quaint little cottage. It’s very quiet, clean, cosy and the location is a stone’s throw away from Coniston. The breakfast is beautifully prepared and is delicious! There’s a path just outside that leads up towards the Old Man of Coniston. It’s a wonderful walk! There’s a table and two chairs in the garden to sit and enjoy your favourite tipple or hot drink or to just relax reading.
