Denny, she is a fantastic host, very welcoming and hospitable Fun and entertaining She made our trip to guadeloupe special. Relaxing on the the communal terrace in the evenings with Denny will be our lasting memory of guadeloupe. A very special host. Deshaies is also a great place to stay, a lovely coastal village with beautiful beaches lots of restaurants, Honore Police Station and a great boulangerie.

We loved everything about this place. It is just so lovely to stay in the green forest overlooking the palms and sea. The bungalow is surrounded by green and from the terrace you have a beautiful far view of the sea. The host is very nice and friendly and provided us with several tips about the area. The hosts live very close, but the bungalow still has a lot of privacy. The bungalow is cozy and it was clean. We spent quite some time on the terrace and received regular visits by Pauwpauw the cat. The location is also good, plage de la perle, grande anse and Deshaies are nearby. If you do not have a car it may be a little challenging unless you are ok with walking or hitchhiking, but to be fair that is true everywhere in basse terre. That said, the beach of fort royal and plage de la perle are within walking distance. Watch out because tropical forest = insects. We only just saw 3 inside the bungalow and the bug spray provided by the host really helped. Lastly the bungalow does not have a kitchen but there is enough equipment for making breakfast or a snack. In summary, great place for a stay in nature.

We spent a wonderful week in a "Suite" cottage and would totally recommend it. The beautiful view from the large terrace is really unforgettable, tarrace has plenty of seating options and 2 hammocks to enjoy it. Thanks to the genuine cottage position and garden around you can enjoy absolute privacy on the terrace. We really loved the outdoor bath, quite extraordinary experience for us. The cottage is small, but cute and beautiful and equipped with everything you may need. Hosts were really nice and did their best to give us some advices in English :) Breakfast that comes with accomodation is TOP with new hot meal everyday and the BEST home-made marmelades (mango and coco-ananas we miss so much already!). The terrace where the breakfast is served you just never want to leave! You can also meet a cat (regular welcomed visitor on our terrace roof) and 2 very friendly cute dogs :) The most beautiful beaches are in a close distance (Plage de Grande Anse and Plage de la Perle - the nicest beaches we saw in Guadeloupe & Martinique), beautiful Botanic garden is also close.

I loved my stay! I felt very welcome, the bungalow was very charming and I had everything I needed. The garden with swimming pool was a great relaxing spot. The breakfast was very good and also possible vegan. :) I will definitely come back if I'll visit Guadeloupe again!

Nice large balcony with furniture to sit out on. Very comfortable bed and great mosquito net. Air con in the bedroom was excellent. Very friendly proprietor. Sadly we dont speak French so we were not able to talk with him properly which was a shame. Easy to communicate by text and WhatsApp though. We were welcomed in the evening with a lovely prepared supper. Perfect after our long flight. Great place to stay, but you do need a car.AmandaYoung couple
