If you're looking for an authentic Cretan experience away from the beach, then look no further! This villa has gorgeous views of the rolling Cretan hills and the sea, the room & facilities are top-notch, and you can break your sense of isolation with a short walk to the neighbouring village. The hosts - a couple of Dutch philosophy teachers, no less - are absolutely wonderful. We will stay longer the next time for sure.

The bungalows are scattered across the garden up to the seafront. A lot of places to stay by the beach or the pool, but as always the best spots are to be taken early on! We had booked a bungalow with sea view and got an upgrade with a private pool. The room was very comfortable. The food is delicious, starting with breakfast that has a nice mix of Cretan and continental food, to dinner where we ate all 4 evening at Adeste restaurant: quiet and village-like feel.

We had half board included. Buffet for breakfast and dinner was quite good, fresh food, you can always find something at your taste. They have nice cocktails at the bar too. Wee tried also restaurants nearby, very authentic and cheaper, and couple of times in Agios Nikolaos center (20 min walk).

The family who own the place are really helpful and kind. Parking is not private but we could always find a space on the street nearby. We had the top floor apartment and it was huge, well equipped, airy and clean. Great value for money.

Our 7th floor room was at the back, so no view but very quiet (only two rooms on the floor). The hotel is dead centre in Agios Nikolaos, steps away from everything, with a free parking lot just meters away. It feels like a luxury hotel, all at a very reasonable price.
