Antica Biblioteca, Fermo, Le Marche. Oct.18th, 2022 This B&B is managed by Matteo, a descendant of the family owning the Palazzo. Our room was on the ground floor, breakfast was served on the piano nobile. Stairs not a problem. This B&B is located among the winding medieval streets of historic Fermo. The day rooms we passed through, are are appointed with historic family photographs, cultural items and of course the library. We enjoyed learning about the family’s ancestors and finding a resemblance between Matteo and his grandfather’s portrait. Room: Queen bed, plenty of room to stretch out, bath is huge with a decorative marble tub. Breakfast is very good! Parking: a pass explained by Matteo, allows you to park on the nearby streets. Attractions: The Roman Cistern (Cisterne Romane) is unique to the city, this is an enormous reservoir of 30 barrel- vaulted rooms, built under Augustus in AD 41-61, to supply the town and ships sailing from its port. Tours are arranged through the information office in Piazza del Popolo. Some of the the cisterns were used used by Fermo’s water company until 1982 and others served as bomb shelters during WWII. This is an amazing place! Also the Pinacoteca Civica is worth a visit for the “Adoration of the Shepherds” painted by Rubens in 1608. In the evening Fermo has good flood lights throughout its historic quarter illumiating for example, Torre Matteucci. Capolinea Ristorante is very good for dinner. For dessert their chocolate soufflé with pistachio heart is outstanding!

We stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful villa. The villa is run by the most sweet and care taking couple. Benedetto and Mariantonietta thank you for giving us the perfect experience! The breakfast is home made. The pool is fabulous! The villa and garden are beautiful and well maintained. We will return if in the neighborhood.

Alessandro is an amazing host, living on the premises. He was preparing fresh breakfast for us every morning, even adapting to our schedule. Ari, a super playful German Shepherd was a big bonus! Beautiful house with 4 large ensuite rooms and a shared kitchen, balconies, and a large garden. The room was very clean and well-equipped. Parking was provided for free.

They are really huge, kitchen well equipped, everything nice and clean, fantastic shower, and a weber barbecue grill. It is outise fermo in the countryside, great to relax, quiet at night. Pool and hot tub, small playground with trampoline for kids. The breakfast is for italian standards really awesome, with homemade cakes, salami/cheese, etc. The owner Samuele takes great care for his guests and is a super friendly lad. To the center it’s more like 30 minutes. It’s possible, we did it frequently, but there aren’t always sidewalks and people were driving pretty wild occasionally. If you have smaller children (ours are 14, 16, 16, 18) I can see that being a problem. Fermo is beautiful and this hotel is a good starting point to explore it. It is nice and quiet. Rooms were clean and good. Breakfast was ok.
