We had the loveliest (although much too brief) one night stay at Villa Mariel. It's a wonderful place with an amazing location, very beautiful and peaceful. Matteo and his mother are very warm and lovely hosts. Matteo made dinner reservations for us at one of the seafood restaurants a short 15 minute drive away. We had the best table in the house and the food was delicious! The breakfast was such a treat (and a very generous spread) and we got to taste Matteo's divine homemade orange marmalade. I don't eat meat so Matteo suggested my partner make a sandwich from the remaining prosciutto to take on the road and gave him a bag and napkins. He also allowed us to leave our car parked on site after we had checked out so we could take one more walk on Giannella Playa before driving on to Rome, which was really kind and much appreciated. All in all, we felt so cared for and looked after and we really enjoyed staying there. We can't wait to return!

Fabio was extremely friendly and helped us with all our needs and preferences during our stay. He also provided us with local information and was very flexible for example when we returned from a wedding as planned at 5:30am! The b&b was very clean and well looked after, and the air-con in the room worked perfectly which was a blessing in the 35deg heat! We would definitely stay there again if we are in the Orbetello area.

Loved EVERYTHING about this stay. Two wonderful ladies run this shared apartment and they were nothing but kind, helpful, and welcoming to us Americans (who were far out of our language depth being in this small town). It started with us arriving to the train station in Orbetello unable to decipher how to buy a bus ticket to avoid the hour long walk to this apartment. Within a few minutes of messaging the property through this booking platform, they came and picked us up, personally driving us to their apartment. The owners gave us recommendations and business cards with their stamp to find discounts at businesses owned by their friends. I cannot say enough good things about these people and our stay in their home. Bed was incredibly large and comfortable and bathroom was perfectly clean. Kitchen is homey and easy to share with other guests. STAY HERE!
