Amazing experience at Lake Front Yala Safari. The room was extremely comfortable and very clean but the best thing was the family that run this guesthouse, very kind and welcoming. The lady cooked a spectacular dinner, the best I have had since I'm in Sri Lanka, the daughter is a very smart girl who speaks very good English, she explained to me about the Sri Lankan culture and traditions of Kataragama. Last but not least I could book the safari through them at a very affordable price. I recommend this place 100%

If you want to escape the rush of the city and experience true Sri Lanka this is the place for you, it’s a cool quirky place with the jungle right at your doorstep wildlife literally everywhere if you want to take a dip there’s a river attached to the property, had a heap of fun playing drums and dancing. The property itself is unreal get a real cool sunset from the castle type fare at the front. The owner did an exceptional job on the place itself definitely book a few nights cause there’s lots to see and do saw just as many animals in and around the property as I did on my safari! Definitely one of the coolest places I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka!

Very lovely, kind and friendly family. Everything was clean. My family and me felt very well there the whole time! They have a nice garden to relax. The owner who is also the safari driver is a very experienced safari driver and does this job already for about 7-8years and know the sports very well to watch the animals. Staying there and entering the yala np from the north of Block I makes you be the only one there on the road. If you enter from the main entrance in Tisse, you will have 20 other Safari cars in front of you who are queueing up to se the animals.
