We booked this hotel room to leave our luggage when heading into the jungle and to have a shower on our return before our flight back to Kuala Lumpur. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable for what we needed. The location was perfect, close to the airport and on the way to sepilok and sandakan town. We recommend this hotel as a base when arriving or departing from Sandakan.

There is even a washing machine. The manager Connie is very friendly & helpful, fast & easy communication. The location is very quiet and peaceful on the top of the hill surrounded by forest, there is a little supermarket in walking distance. For anything else you would need your own vehicle or a short cheap Grab ride into town.

The apartment is adequate for a short stay, but lacks charm or comfort. Don’t be tempted to think the location is walking distance from Sandakan city centre though - it isn’t. You will need to use Grab to get to and from anywhere (with the possible exception of the English Teahouse). Grab cars are cheap, so the cost isn’t an issue, but it adds a layer to anything you might want to do.

Staff are positive, proactive and go out of their way to make things easy.
