The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Maria doesn't really speak english, but she definitely trys hard to make you feel comfortable! Also, the food is really good, you have to try the filete del pescado & banano con leche! We did not meet too many other backpackers in the 4 nights we stayed but nevertheless worth a visit.

Loki the dog was the highlight of Selvista. He came with us all the way up the Maderas volcano and was so sweet and affectionate, not leaving our side the whole way.

So you'll need to rent a scooter or take a local bus. But it's in the middle of the jungle, so be prepared to see a lot of animals. Maykel makes you feel right at home and his wife is a great chef. It is in a quiet and beautiful area of the island so having your own transport is a must, but if you want to make the most of your trip to Ometepe you need your own transport anyways! It is close to the amazing waterfall, kayak tours and lots of beaches. It is a small family run business, and the biggest bonus to that is playing with their sweet daughter in the evenings. The food was delicious and you get to enjoy it whilst taking in the uninterrupted views of the lake and the lush nature around.
