We had a great two nights at Matarangi B&B. After travelling around NZ we ended our trip here in the best way possible. Fantastic view from the room/veranda, big and clean rooms and great breakfast! The hosts were super friendly and helpful. When going to the beach they kindly lent us towels (and spade for when going to hot water beach!). The surroundings are amazing. We highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic little apartment with everything you can possibly need for a really good time in a beautiful place. Loved the garden and sleeping with the windows wide open, awakening to birdsong and marvelling at amazing sunsets at the nearby beach. Loved the peace and quiet of this little cottage in the country. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I really loved sitting either in the sitting room or out on the verandah just reading and listening to the sounds of the animals and insects. Jane and Doug were very welcoming and I loved chatting with them. The cottage is 5 minutes from the beach, which is beautiful to walk along. I will definitely be back again.

Also, she had put together a booklet with info on local highlights, best beaches, supermarkets, restaurants etc. She left a bottle of fresh milk and another of chilled water in the refrigerator, so thoughtful.
