We had an amazing time staying at Casa do Miradouro! The views from the veranda were absolutely breathtaking and a favourite with the whole family!!! 😄 Our host, Leontina, was extremely friendly, kind and hospitable and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts for such an amazing stay. Everything was provided for (WiFi, hairdryer, washing machine and drying rack, dishwasher, plenty of kitchen utensils, lots of towels and good water pressure) so that our stay was as comfortable as possible. The kitchen was even stocked with tea, coffee, spices, salt, olive oil and vinegar. We were greeted with bottle of local vine and full bowl of fresh fruits ( and were given extra during our stay- all much appreciated! ). There are no stairs inside the house as the accommodation is just one floor but Leontina was extremely kind to let the kids play in the garden downstairs which had a hammock, a trampoline, palm trees and more incredible views! All the bedrooms were spacious and had comfortable beds, wardrobes with extra towels and bedsheets, chest of drawers and lamps. One of the bedrooms had an en suite which we very much enjoyed. The bathrooms and whole house were very clean and perfect for 4-6 people. We had an incredible stay at Casa do Miradouro and highly recommend it!!!!! Quiet location with just goats and rooster waking you up. Great base for exploring Madeira if you want to escape crowds at Funchal. Levada 2 walks ( Nova & Moinho ) nearby- just get down 5-10 minutes walking for start of levada Nova walk, breathing views! and waterfalls

we spent a week there. the villa has a special charm. the staff was incredibly nice. we had a personal issue on which they were most supportive. it is a good place to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors.

The interior was modern and spotless with all amenities thought of. The check in and out was brilliant, we were met by Sidonia from ‘A Home in Madeira’. During our stay we also met the owner who was very pleased to meet with us. The hot tub and BBQ area was a fantastic bonus. Communication with owner was easy, we felt very welcome and it was great to hear some local tips, not only for delicious poncha :) spacious, very tidy and well-equipped interior. Great location for day trips around the island. A wide parking space in the garage with easy parking. Two bathrooms for 4 people was a luxury.

The house has a charming garden with great view and places for the rest and breakfast, everything was fresh and clean and made for your comfortable staying. Catia is great host and her house is the place where you want to return as soon as possible.

Beach is about 100m away, you only need to cross quite a busy street. There is also a nice, glazed private pool on the outside terrace as well as some sunbeds and parasols. Parking is free, on the street. We did not have any problems with street parking there.MartinSolo traveller
