Historical building with a great location. Felt like you could turn a corner and see the colonial/oppressor class at any time. Full English breakfast but they are glad to do modifications. Loved the antique furniture and history everywhere. Dining room is faded elegance, and the food was yummy. Rooms are being updated. Ours had a walk in shower, which I liked.

The house is absolutely lovely and David is wonderful. He really does treat his guests like visiting family. He is super knowledgeable about the region and gives wonderful advice. Lovely cottage in a very quiet and serene area of Hillside. Very close to shops, Hillside dams and a few minutes drive from town. The grounds surrounding the cottage are awesome and you feel like you are in matopos. My kids especially loved the friendly dogs, Rollo and Talula and our host, John, went out of his way to make us feel at home.
