Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The café attached to the hostel was good and had incredible views from the porch. The location was very convenient for walking around Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepcion.

Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Guests can have a drink at the bar. Lala porteña is a nice house on a hill, a bit away from the main tourist drag. I had a rental car so getting around was very easy, but Valparaíso buses are efficient and Google maps public transport option will tell you which route to take. The room was nice and airy, with a comfortable bed. But really what makes this place are the hosts! Luz and Tulio are lovely people who made me feel like I was a visiting relative rather than a tourist in a hotel! The breakfast with the home made bread was a great touch too. Easily my favorite stay in Chile!

The owners are very friendly, speak both English and Spanish and are always there to answer questions or help. The room was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and everything you need. As there were cold nights, we got a heater and extra blankets which worked out pretty good. What we especially enjoyed were the carefully chosen decor inside and the vicinity of the building, with many excellent restaurants, cafes, shops, sights etc in walking distance.
