This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Welcome to Casa Familiar La Tortuga, your home away from home in Barva de Heredia! Great place! The room was spacious and had everything you needed and more (balcony, hammock). I also really enjoyed the breakfast with coffee and fruit. The place is close to everything in the Heredia area with shops and cafés right around the corner. I would definitely stay here again.

Bed was comfortable room was a good size, had a balcony with fireplace but the wood was damp so it didn't burn well. We had booked 3 nights left after 2 and the owner was very accommodating
