It was within walking distance of the Castle (must see!!), where the end of the race took place. Y Fan is a beautifully appointed redo of an older building. The room was comfortable and the en-suite bath was one of the nicer ones we encountered on our trip. A full English breakfast was included in the price, there was plenty of it and it was delicious, right down (or up) to the French press coffee. There are great indoor spaces for relaxing, games and music, and there are tables to relax outdoors and enjoy the sunset. We very much enjoyed our trip to Caerphilly and our stay at Y Fan.

Host was very welcoming and super friendly, and the location was convenient for Chepstow and various Wye Valley and Forest of Dean walking spots. Further, the room was confortable, and breakfast was delicious with full English breakfast and abundant coffee!

The bed and breakfast features some units with mountain views, and the units include a kettle. very friendly, full of good humour, gave good advice of places to eat and drink, could not fault it. 10 mins to town walking, went out of their way to accommodate us, putting extra chair outside just very good value for what you get, paid bit extra for a great breakfast but you could walk into town or go without that’s what was good about it

Set 1.1 km from Abergavenny town centre, Cherryberry Lodges has barbecue facilities and garden. Around 9 km from White Castle, the property is also 10 km away from Grosmont Castle and offers free WiFi and private parking. Llanthony Priory is 12 km from the bed and breakfast. I loved every minute of my stay at Cherry Berry Lodges. I would stay anywhere that Sarah was hosting, a beautiful experience, and a gorgeous breakfast. Thank you for making our time so special.

This is a family-run guesthouse which has been very nicely renovated. We booked 2 rooms which are on the 1st floor (not ground floor) so there's a short flight of stairs to contend with. The host was very welcoming and helped us with our luggages up the flight of stairs. They provided extras (eg. the bath had a brandnew bath sponge for our use) which we were not expecting and really made the place memorable. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Just for information, the double room has a bathtub and small fridge (the twin room only has a shower and no fridge). I would book again if I was in Abergavenny.
