Set in South Shields, 800 metres from Sandhaven Beach and 11 km from Stadium of Light, South Shore Guest House offers accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. It is situated 16 km from Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and provides luggage storage space. Sage Gateshead is 16 km from the guest house and Theatre Royal is 17 km away. Absolutely EVERYTHING! We were in town for a concert May 2023, and staying at South Shore Guest House was like visiting godparents on a school holiday - warm, welcoming, cozy, and caring. The best part was our hostess Lorraine’s charming stories over the hearty homemade breakfasts that she and her husband prepared for all the guests each morning. The town of South Shields is a dreamy, friendly community by the sea, and this B&B is in the perfect spot for strolling to and fro from the diverse restaurants & stores to the excellent dog watching at the pier. Also, super convenient to find from the train station. I can’t recommend a stay there enough; 10/10.

Situated in a area close to the local bus route that allow for easy transportation, close enough to to central Newcastle the taxis/ubers are fairly priced. Very clean room, and Kim was great and provided us with extra towels along with information about the busses and provided a number for a taxi company that could be trusted. Overall 10/10 stay and would 100% stay again

Restaurants, bars and takeaways are within 300 metres of Beechwood and Newcastle’s busy city centre can be reached after a 40-minute journey on the metro. Scenic clifftop walks can be enjoyed on the Leas, which is just 1 mile away. Ιt was a great pleasure staying at Beechwood guest house. Rez was an amazing host, I had everything I needed in my room, so much coziness and warmth to fight the cold outside. Unfortunately, I was n't able to enjoy the famous breakfast of Rez but...well, next time! The location is also excellent, one breath away from the sea, restaurants, coffee shops and metro station. I was waking up every morning with the sound of the seagulls flying. Highly reccomend it and would definitely like to stay there again. Thank you for having me.

Set in a residential street, this large Victorian house is only a 2-minute walk to South Shields town centre, parks and beaches. It has nicely decorated bedrooms and free parking.

A full English breakfast is available. Restaurants and pubs can be found a 5-minute walk away and special diets can be catered for on request. Great location for sea front. Good clean accommodation, friendly owners, lovely well cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Quiet room. Had a lovely stay, we will definitely be back.

A Visit England award-winning full English breakfast, cooked in the open-plan kitchen, is served every morning in the dining room. A choice of cereals is also available and special diets can be catered for on request. From the 18th of September 2023, for the duration of 3 weeks, we will be unable to serve a full breakfast due to having the kitchen refitted, we will be providing continental options instead.

Here at the Forest our bedrooms are decorated in modern, boutique style all individual, and all have modern ensuite facilities featuring luxury Duck Island Toiletries and Egyptian Cotton bath sheets Excellent hosts. Room and common areas immaculately clean. Breakfast fresh, tasty and many choices all freshly cooked to order.

Situated just outside Heddon, a charming village on Hadrian’s Wall, this French-style B&B is only 8 miles from the centre of Newcastle. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the building, and free private parking on site. This property is exceptional, clean and tidy and tasteful furnished. In a lovely location and close to Hadrian’s wall walk. Fridge well stocked and Lesley provided tasty meals which we ordered in advance. Lesley was very friendly and welcoming.
