All Proteas’ rooms are heated and have a private bathroom. Some rooms have a kitchenette and sea views, while others have wooden sloped ceilings. Excellent choice for our trip in Madeira. The hotel is at a beautiful village near Santana and has wonderful views over the sea. The room was in perfect condition and clean. Teresa was do kind and generous with us, so that we felt like home. The breakfast was delicious with so many choices. This is a great choice to stay during holidays in Madeira. Thanks for everything!!!

Each private bathroom includes a walk-in shower. breakfast was very nice, the staff amazing, the views even better, we even found a little trail to hike up to the mini church on top of the mountain behind the hotel, great stay

Offering a terrace and city view, Alexia Room is set in Funchal, 1.7 km from Marina do Funchal and 15 km from Girao Cape. Featuring sea and mountain views, this bed and breakfast also comes with free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is situated 700 metres from Almirante Reis Beach. Alexandra is a great host, super friendly, and helpful. She personally welcomed us, even though we arrived very late. The room was super comfortable, and the breakfast was great, fruit, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt and some sweets 😋. She also have some fruit and welcome snacks ready for us.

At the bed and breakfast, every unit has a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. There is also a well-fitted kitchenette in some of the units equipped with a microwave, a toaster, and a fridge. Vila Afonso is a hidden gem - it was our little slice of paradise! The view and property itself are just out of this world, the property grounds are so beautifully maintained that it's wonderful to just lounge about in the garden all day. The owner was most helpful and kind, making sure that everything was in order, and he even provided us with lactose free milk for breakfast upon request!

Sunset House in Arco da Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Featuring mountain and garden views, this guest house also provides guests with free WiFi. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and a housekeeping service for guests. Sunset House was the perfect place to stay for us on Madeira. The views in the evening are amazing, and waking up with the view to the ocean is equally impressive. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and gave us great advice about what to see on the island. The rooms and common areas are very spacious, and cooking dinner and enjoying it on the balcony made us feel right at home. The shared bathrooms were no problem at any point, since there are 2 and only a few rooms. Thanks for this wonderful experience!
