She took great care of us and was very helpful. She speaks good English, which made up for our mediocre French. Our room had a beautiful view over Le Tampon until the ocean. The breakfast was excellent and included homemade jams (which you can also buy to take with you if you have found your favourites) and homemade cake. When we started early in the morning to hike to the summit of Piton de la Fournaise she made us a breakfast to go with a homemade banana chocolate cake which was mouthwatering. The room was cleaned daily. Alice also let us checkin really early without any trouble at all. Her husband and the two small daughters are very friendly.

We had the pleasure of experiencing one of the most intense cyclones of the recent years together with Isa and Steph in their beautiful house in Le Tampon. As we have never been exposed to such severe weather conditions before, we were a bit nervous ahead of our stay, but our hosts did everything they could to make us feel safe and comfortable in their amazing home. We cooked together, we did yoga, had great conversation and we believe we could not have found a better place to spend those hours during the storm than with them. Thanks for opening both your home and hearts for us. We enjoyed every minute.

The hospitality and welcoming atmosphere given through Marie-Claude and Yves was extraordinry. Also we recommend to have at least one diner with them. Next time at La reunion we will stay at this place again

Our stay was really nice ! The room was very comfy and had a good size, the bed was also very comfortable. The pictures don't do justice to the place! Is a very good base to hike the Grand Bassin or Pitón de la Fournaise (is like 50 min drive to the parking where starts the hike. The road is quiet good, so it could even done during the night if you want to start your hike early and avoid staying in the Volcan Gite). Remember to book your dinner in advance! Our dinner had very nice starters, soup and the main dishes were shrimp and chicken curries! Dessert, punch and wine included, really worth it ! Breakfast is also offered starting at 07:00 in the morning.
