The room is basic, but clean. Very good AC. Comfortable bed. Can not fault it at all for this standard of accommodation. Breakfast is served in a roof top veranda. The breakfast exceeded our expectations and the fruit served was just amazing! Free pick-up from the airport is a real bonus! The host was very helpful to assist in changing money in town and to rent a car as well. The host was always accessible via a WhatsApp if needed. Very good WIFI in the room. From here we walked in to town (bars, seafront) in 5min max. There is a shop downstairs so you can pick up few items if needed. What not to like.

This accommodation was for us the start of a dream vacation. The comfort and size of the accommodation alone would be reason for us to rate highly. In addition, the incredibly dear and impressive host. We very rarely get into raptures, but this host is a sensation: so warm, so interesting and interested: simply impressive and what a gift to experience. A few more words about the accommodation. The accommodation is large, very clean and has a sensational terrace. The bed is perfect and large, windows have mosquito protection, are tight and even have blinds (so you can make it nice and dark to sleep) The garden is a dream. Many recommendations, lots of interesting information and conversations about the region. It was also ingenious to arrive so late and have a place to stay so close to the airport. We were picked up, although it is only a few hundred meters, with a jeep. After many hours of flight, a luxury to be received so and to land in such a nice accommodation. Our summary and with focus on a round trip: the perfect place to arrive or depart from São Tomé and Principe and spent time close to airport and a nice beach close to the town. If we were business travelers we would say: a perfect place to have a nice, calm and safe accommodation away from the center

First and foremost, this is a place that provides a high level of service (and management) for reasonable cost. Sao Tome can at times be a little bit daunting for travel (in some ways part of the fun). Few places accept credit cards, no viable international ATM I could find, so you have to research/budget and bring Euros or USD and do money exchanges with random people on the street. Reminded me of travel to Eastern Europe in the 1980s. This guest house, however, removes all of those stresses. They not only take credit card for the room and change money with you at a decent rate, they will also give you dobras against a credit card charge if you run out of the cash you brought. Easy and a big relief if you're stressed about managing your money. They offer airport transfers (the owner himself drove me in his own car because the country had otherwise run out of gasoline and he had a diesel SUV); they have an reasonable and upfront policy about extra charges for late check out, which takes into account the schedules of the TAP flights to Accra and Lisbon; they have a reasonable bar out back by the pool. I'm sure some of the higher end hotels in town offer many of these services, but at least double if not triple the price. I was very happy to find an affordable hotel that also provided these extra services and would stay here again based on that. They had to ration diesel for the generator at certain times of the day due to the fuel crisis in the country but again this was all stated up front with signs in multiple languages, and was a very rational solution to a problem outside of management's control. Apart from that, the room was nice and quiet and to be able to swim in the big pool at dusk and watch the bats circle around overhead was a memorable experience.

Amazing location with views from the mountain down to the sea. Lush tropical foliage and beautiful gardens. Our guest rooms each had a terrace with chairs and a table looking to the east making for amazing sunrises. We loved the art and decorations in the rooms, the shutters which kept the insects and the light (when we didn’t want it out). big windows provided excellent views. Excellent wifi.
