Lovely to be so close to the water - you can lean out of a porthole and talk to the passing ducks. And the location is perfect: quiet neighbourhood but just a short walk from the historic centre.

The location is ok- a 10 minute walk from the train station and the city (in either direction). Breakfast was ok- basic continental, but eggs cooked to order. The Captain was friendly & very passionate about his boat hotel… which is a great experience if you’re staying in Ghent for a night!

The boat hotel is situated close to Gent city center and it was a perfect base to discover the city for a short stay like mine. Breakfast was very good and rich both with salty and sweet food. Captain Sven takes good care of his guests, definitely recommended!
