We had a view of the canal and even though we were on the ground floor it was very quiet at night (the boat tours stopped early). Breakfast had many options and was in a light-filled room on the top floor. We were able to check in early, which was great, and store our luggage after we checked out. The location is ok- a 10 minute walk from the train station and the city (in either direction). Breakfast was ok- basic continental, but eggs cooked to order. The Captain was friendly & very passionate about his boat hotel… which is a great experience if you’re staying in Ghent for a night!

The boat hotel is situated close to Gent city center and it was a perfect base to discover the city for a short stay like mine. Breakfast was very good and rich both with salty and sweet food. Captain Sven takes good care of his guests, definitely recommended!
