Very comfortable historic cottage, clean and well stocked. Nothing too much trouble for hosts, from personal reception to adjusted check in and check out times. We met the owner and the workmanship put in to restore it is extraordinary. We loved sitting on the deck and the kitchen area with boats going by and when it got dark retreating to the downstairs lounge area. A real treat to spend the night in a boat.

The Breakfast Menu and table service was the best I have received in many years. The chef was very accommodating and cooked the fish we caught on a boat trip, which really made my young son very happy. In the room there was a piece of paper explaining the careful restoration work to the property is ongoing which did explain where some areas are not yet at the standard they would like. The areas that were finished were lovely.

It was wonderful to relax in the sitting area and watch all the boat traffic heading up and down the river at CowesAndreaGroup

The boat is kept in very good condition and has a nice berth with good views. Lots of towels and nice bedding. There was tea, coffee, fruit and milk on board already which was a very nice touch as we arrived late in the evening. Plenty of parking and nice gardens where you can sit out and enjoy. Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast selection in a lovely dining room, stylish and chic period hotel and furnishings, beautiful lounge with interesting furniture and model yacht, good separate restaurant for dinner and we had a very enjoyable stay.
