The boat is well kept. The staff is kind and attentive. In one of the stops, we bought giant prawns and the chef cooked them for us. In spite of the slow and not promising beginning The air conditioning worked well, in spite of the slow and not promising beginning, which was very important, considering how hot the weather was during my stay.

I think we came during the off peak season so it was a little quiet. We wanted to do a day boat ride and stay at a hotel instead of an overnight on the boat, so we chose Lake Canopy. Overall good service. Complimentary breakfast and tea service (love the tea btw). We ordered quite a bit of food, while we weren't impressed with the fish (meen pollicahdu) the other food tasted great, especially the beef fry and prawn fry and chicken.

I liked the hotel - it's just a family home, and you live as their guest. Good location, very friendly hostess. Quite clean. The room could have more furniture for our things - maybe some kind of bedside table or small closet. The breakfasts and dinners were quite tasty, although we are not connoisseurs of Indian cuisine. The hostess helped in organizing boat trips and ordering a taxi.

Biju was an excellent host and extremely accommodating! The breakfast everyday was exceptional as well. We loved the stay, it was extremely safe and 2 minutes from the beach. Biju also recommended a fantastic boat tour in Allepey that we loved.

Such a nice place to be in Mararikulam! Rooms were spacious and clean, the owners very friendly and helpful. They arranged a boat trip or a very nice ajurvedic massage for us. Also meals were delicious and the portions very generous!

Rahul and his family were marvellous and catered to our every need. Tuctucs, fresh coconut juice (literally climbing a tree to get some), beach-chairs, take-away (when we arrived too late for supper one day), boat-trips, advice. They were really nice people. Our room (only one on upper floor) was very spacious. And had its own outside dining area (as do all rooms). There was plenty of place to hang laundry and wet bathing-suits. Breakfast was great. And was served to your private patio.

A beautiful heritage building, and a little pocket of paradise with gardens, restaurant and the pool by the canal. We had fun canoeing to the beach. Staff are all very friendly and accomodating, and we enjoyed the Allepey backwaters boat tour they helped us arrange. Highly recommended for a relaxed holiday in Marari.

Relaxed vibe, 50 metres from the beach and lovely warm Arabian sea for swimming. Great breakfasts and local beach restaurants. We extended our stay here to a week at the end of our tour rather than move on to the backwaters area further south. Alleppey boat trips only a 15 minute tuktuk ride away. A good train service from Mararikulam back to Ernakulam on the last leg or our tour. Great family hosts at this homestay.

The hospitality is the best. Super helpful and attentive. Always with beautiful smile. It was great as we had our activities assisted by them. We did Kayaking and Houseboat stay through them. Also stayed at one of the best houseboats through there contact. The breakfast and ginger tea was made with so much love at the stay. So close to the beach and amidst coconut and banayan trees. Shacks are a walking distance too and Swiggy food delivery possible too.

We loved every minute at Villa Mia. Rina, the host, was exceptional and took very good care of us. The place was stylish, sparkling clean, and had every comfort. Rina is also a great cook, and she cooked amazing Keralan breakfast and dinner for us. She also arranged a boat trip and rickshaw to get there and back. We felt like at home. I particularly liked the attention for detail. The place is a 2 min walk from Marari beach, the best beach in the area with restaurants and cafes. I 100% recommend this place.
