The crew was so calm and nice, the felucca was perfectly clean inclouding toilette. The food was delicious. Everything was just perfect. Must do if you visit Egypt.

Abdu did not help us arrange everything in terms of tours (to Filae, Abu Simbel, a Nubian village, the botanical garden and more) and activities (Falluca sailing, Zaraha sand meditation, bird watching trip, exploring the Souk, swimming in the Nile, transfer to Luxor via Edfu and Kom Ombo and more), he also helped us with his second smaller boat to get everywhere, assimilate to the local culture by clothing and customs, cooked for us (he also made sure all food was well washed), helped us donate goods and clothes to the local school, and assisted us in getting tickets for the night train from Luxor to Caïro and simcards). His houseboat has everything you need for an authentic stay. Our cabin was spacious enough for the two of us and had an amazing view over the Elephantine Island. The terraces was facing the beautiful botanical garden on Kitchener Island. Due to the placement of the boat you have some shade in the morning and you can enjoy the sunset in the evening. If you look for a real experience and want to dive in the culture and day to day livestyle on the Nile, the boat is definitely something for you. We are truly great full for our experience and can definitely recommend a stay on this lovely houseboat!

When we arrived on our overnight train from Cairo, Mahmoud (in house manager) had arranged a driver to pick us up from Aswan station and he took us to the ferry port where a motorboat was waiting to take us to our accommodation. The process was smooth and really appreciated after a long night on the train. We were also able to check into our room straight away which had brilliant air conditioning and a warm shower. Upon freshening up we were welcomed with a refreshing hibiscus drink, beautiful coffee and ordered a chicken tagine for lunch for only 200LE which was delicious. During our stay Mahmoud arranged drivers to take us to both Philae Temple (Mahmoud) and one to Abu Simbel (Ahmed) and both cars were really comfortable making it a very pleasant experience. The drivers waited for us whilst we explored the sites which was great. I would really recommend booking through the accommodation as it made the whole process very easy! On both nights of our stay we headed out for dinner and again Mahmoud organised motorboats for us to take us to, and pick up from the different restaurants we visited. We want to say a massive thank you to Mahmoud & his team for a wonderful stay at Anakob, we will definitely be back if we return to Aswan in the future!
