There was nothing not to like!! It was home away from home and Pedro’s communication and knowledge was of excellence throughout!! Not only was he beyond generous in his kindness and care, he also went above and beyond to provide snacks for me to take for breakfast the next day… as places to eat, where to hike, boat trips, wineries and so much more!! Warm welcome, friendly hosts. Old world charm on a working winery. Good food, lovely breakfasts. River view from room, lean out to watch the boats pass on the river below (other side of the quiet road). Watch the trains rattle past on the far side of the river. Convenient location to experience the Douro valley, and hills and villages either side.
