Polo is an excellent host! Speaks multiple languages fluently, very engaging and welcoming! He even had foot baths for tired pilgrims feet, arranged the taxi and Pilgrim boat for the next morning... He is a genius business man!

We stayed at Patricia's gorgeous guesthouse while waking the Camino Portugues. She welcomed us with a hug, and our jaws dropped when we saw the beautiful bedroom and the spacious patio with a view over the Minho River to Spain! Kitchen was well outfitted and the restaurant down the block was grand. The next day Patricia gave us a lift back to Caminha ... she is a few km north of the boat we needed to take to cross to Spain.

I had a great stay, and highly recommend for pilgrims wanting a private room in caminha. I came in winter and there is only one scheduled transfer across the river, so host accommodated an early breakfast. I came down to dining area to a nice setting with everything I could have wanted. Easy walk to boat in the morning, no problems. Also had a cash bar for drinks, which I did not use, but very convenient.

This was my second stay at this hostel. This time I was staying in big shared room and I had much better experience than before in single room (it was very quiet). I did not had feeling that I am in a dorm with 20 people. They also offer free transfer to boat that actually goes directly to A Guarda port.

Location close to train station and old town; a very clean and well equipped room for the bargain room rate; complementary taxi in the morning for the boat transfer to A Guarda (may be arranged when checking in).

Everything was great: location, staff, everything. Even transfer to the boat will be available right from the albergue.

Stayed whilst walking the Camino. The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with gluten-free options available. Taxis were provided to the boat crossing in the morning. Would definitely recommend!

Friendly owner. Everything clean and comfortable! Location is a little for from centre. You can reach centre by boat trip or taxi. Backyard was occupied by owners dogs but they was quite firendly.

We were offered a pilgrim meal and a massage! There was also a washer and drier available. We were picked up in the morning to get the boat taxi to Spain.
