The Keepers Lodges is self catering but there was a fresh jug of milk in the refrigerator courtesy of Kelli, the owner. There was coffee and tea for my use. I felt very welcomed and the communication with Kelli via Booking, text and Whatsapp was very prompt. I saw the steam train from the yard, and felt very relaxed and safe.

Great location! Close to all shops and amenities. The host was lovely and very easy to communicate with during our stay. The place itself is very comfortably and we loved the ‘Stag’ theme in our apartment. The small fireplace was a delight and we made memories for life in this cosy house. Do book!

I loved so many things about this place: the room was huge and the bed was comfortable; everything was clean; the breakfast was healthy and filling with lots of fresh berries and yogurt in addition to the usual English breakfast; best of all, the hosts were amazing. When I arrived haggard and with a very sore foot after hiking for many many hours, the host made me a refreshing salad so I didn't have to walk back into town. They spend time with their clients and they are lovely people and they have a lovely yard!

From the outside it looks like a normal barn house but when you step inside you will be mesmerised by its charm especially its common lounge and dining area. Hosts are exceptional and friendly. They have the or one of the best breakfast i have had in my short life. I am a big breakfast eater so ordered 2 sets for myself each day, the omelette is fantastic, similar to other choices. Sorry to the host.

Broughwood had everything we needed for a family holiday! We stayed in December and a very generous amount of logs were left, wine and goodies on arrival! Check in was simple, lovely garden and parking outside which is hard to find with some holiday cottages in the area. It is on the pricier side compared to other cottages we have staying in in the area but it was really stunning and decorated beautifully plus there was a real Christmas tree!
