Beautiful and idyllic cottage in a lovely location but beware of very narrow lanes! It was a perfect little hideaway and we enjoyed the patio for drinks when we arrived in the sunshine. On wetter days it was a cosy bolt hole. Plenty of attractions nearby and great for us as we have family in Stroud. The pub down the lane is lovely but gets very busy. We will return for sure.

The pub itself is a lovely old stone-built establishment with a more modern (but very sympathetic) annexe conversion. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, and the village and surrounding countryside provide a wonderful setting. The local bus route is a real bonus, connecting the Star to destinations further afield.

There was plenty of storage space and it even had a chaise lounge to relax on. The bed was large and very comfortable. The food at The Falcon is excellent and we can recommend the pies which were really tasty. The breakfast is great too with plenty of choice cooked well.
