Maybe a little tricky to find - it is on other side of river, opposite to the main dirt road. The marked hiking path goes directly through the property - if you come from the Latpari pass along the marked path, you will directly arrive at their place. The owners were very hospitable and eager to help. The host also communicates in English. They have just recently started the guesthouse, guests are accomodated upstairs and there is a shared bathroom on ground floor with wash machine.

I was the first visitor after winter and Zamir, Maya and Georgi welcomed me into their home with such warmth and friendliness, I felt at home right away. Despite the language differences, I learnt so much about life and traditions in Svaneti. The food was delicious and plentiful, so many typical dishes and home made wine. And sitting by the warm stove with the family having a chat was a special moment. Highly recommended to stay here a night or two. The corner room has a nice mural and views of towers and mountains.

We would like to mention that every detail and every corner of the interiors and exteriors are built with love and perfect taste. Food was awasome. Traditional and Europien food mix took us to the highest level of taste.

That's a perfect spot to know the village and feel like a local walking through the streets. It will be difficult to find the place by yourself, however the host contacted us the previous day to offer us a ride from Mestia to Ushguli. The price was more competitive than other taxi drivers and vans in Mestia. So highly recommended. The host also offered other services including horse rides, dinner or breakfast.JJavierGroup
