Moreover, the hosts were incredibly kind and suggested a nearby hike we hadn't considered called the Prato Piazza trail, which was wonderful!

Our hosts were extremely thoughtful, attentive and helpful. Rita met us at the house for a friendly welcome, quick check-in and gave us really helpful tips for our stay. She left us a beautiful (and delicious) welcome gift! The house was really cosy and sparkling clean - everything was spotless and tidy! The rooms were comfortable and the temperature was warm. The kitchen was very practical and had all the necessary utensils. We would only recommend travelers bring essentials (e.g. soap, salt, sugar) which can be conveniently bought at a nearby Despar shop. The location of the house was stunning and super convenient - only a few minutes drive from Lago di Braies and other towns in the Dolomites. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend 10/10! We will be dreaming of this place and would not hesitate to come back :)

The hotel is situated in the picturesque hills on the road leading up to Lago di Braies, right off a bus stop from the nearby village of Villabassa/Niederdorf. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff very friendly, and the restaurant great (we ate dinner there two nights). Easy to get to Lago di Braies from here, either hiking the 20 minute trail directly behind the hotel or catching the bus. Highly recommended.

Proper agrotourism.. we were in the farmhouse. The host took us to Lago de Braies for the start of the Alta Via 1 walk for a small cost which was really helpful. We walked down to the village for supper, which took about 10 minutes. Good communication with the host when I was booking as we were a group of 7. Would recommend and would use again.

It was nice to drive back to the guesthouse perched above the village and wait for the simple, warm dinners reflecting the cuisine of the area. We enjoyed the gorgeous vista into the valley and mountains, sunset and moonscape from our room balcony. It was a 5 min drive to Lago di Braies and 5 min to the gateway parking lot for Prato di Piazza.

The village is beautiful and quiet, but has a shop and few restaurants to choose, and I felt was perfect location to explore a good part of the dolomites and beat the traffic to Braies lake
