This place had everything that we wanted like cookwares, basic seasonings. Only ingredients were needed. We could watch Netflix with 5.1 speaker. The bathtub was enough big. I smelled the water hot spring but not sure it was. Room was so clean and great atmosphere. The owner and his wife were nice too.

The location was perfect. Close enough to all the town has to offer, and located at the quiet side of the station. Room was spotless, and perfect to come back for a rest after a day of skiing. Bus station is just 2 mins walk away and that allows access to all the ski resorts. They even had lockers near the entrance to store my ski equipment.

The owner Kaori was so friendly and accommodating. She spoke English very well too ! I loved the futon beds. Showers were convenient and clean as well. They also had free snacks in the shared area for guests which were great. Thank you for the good experience in Yuzawa !

Room: Traditional Japanese Style. It has a seating area with a view to the mountain. The bathroom has a shower and bath, both. The toilet has its own door so it's separated. Additional bedding in the closet can be used. It's very spacious for a couple. Daily local snacks and hotel newsletters in the room - they are also sold in the hotel store in case you like it. Although it's an older hotel, it's very organized and clean - it gives homey feelings. Hot Springs (Public bath): 28 different styles in two floors, indoor and outdoor. Being in an outside hot spring with a view to the mountain when it's snowing is super comfy. 24 hours access to at least a few. Service: There are robes (Yukata) with many different sizes - it can accommodate tall people. Women have even more options, colorful ones. Transportation to/from Yuzawa JR train station is available. Staff is very friendly. Some may not speak English, but we didn't expect that they would as we are in their country and we should be the ones trying to speak their language. We didn't experience any difficulties due to language. Breakfast: Many options with chefs cooking on site, such as making grilled fish and omelet. The coffee cups are tiny, but you can use the ones at the western style breakfast session (it has bread and cold milk on the table), and then you will have a small American size coffee. Location: In the center of the town, walking distance to train station, ski resort, and restaurants. We love it and will visit again!

The accommodation provided us bus passes for the village shuttle, that gave us great access to central yuzawa and other parts of the valley. The location is a bit removed from the station (45 min walk), it was great to have the bus pass and we enjoyed cycling around the valley. Although we came in the off-season there were a bunch of good places to eat. Being a bit removed from the grey, crowded station area we also got to enjoy the green valleys, rice fields, river and mountains much more.MashaGroup
