Wolyeongchae consists of 4 rooms, 2 internal bathrooms, 1 external bathroom, a shared kitchen, and a shared living room. This is a comfortable and quiet hanok accommodation located snugly like a bird's nest in a residential alley.

From Wolyeongchae, Wolyeonggyo Bridge is 3 km away, Hahoe Village is 29 km away, Dosanseowon Confucian Academy is 26 km away and Bongjeongsa Temple is 17 km away.

Wolyoungchae is a beautiful place - so very well run by the hospitable Sugi! Loved the traditional architecture and furnishings. It is also well located with easy transport to Andong Old market and Andong train/bus terminals.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Okyeon Jeongsa is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Andong, 5.5 km from Hahoe Mask Museum. This bed and breakfast provides free private parking and a housekeeping service. The bed and breakfast features family rooms.

It is a truly unique site and set of traditional buildings. Wonderfully peaceful even in the midst of Chuseok… The breakfast is an excellent complete Korean meal. The owner and manager is extraordinarily helpful in all kinds of ways, arranging trips, taking us out to get food etc… and quite knowledgeable about the history of the place being himself a member of the family of the original founder. Absolutely unique.

Set in Andong, 200 metres from Andong Hahoe Folk Village and 1.7 km from Hahoe Mask Museum, Bukchondaek offers air conditioning. This bed and breakfast offers free private parking and a concierge service. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace.

Bukchondaek had such a rich history that's deeply tied into Hahoe village and Korea. The current owner & caretaker Mr Ryu is the person who will greet you and he warmly welcomes you into his home. I loved learning the history behind this traditional hanok, the tour, the amazing food provided, and Mr Ryu's hospitality. Bukchondaek is also at the heart of Hahoe village so if you want to stay in the village, this is the place to be! While it's not a cheap stay, I honestly believe it was worth every penny! Its rare to be able to stay inside the walls of a well kept, well preserved historic house so you must try it at least once.

This was such a great place to experience. Also far enough from too many people, but close enough so you don't feel isolated.

Location is very good. It has the view of the scenic mountain. The back drop trees are dramatic. There’s an area where we played. It’s so pristine. I like the traditional house experience. But it’s not suited for elderlies because of has only one bathroom and the path is cobble stone. The owner is very accommodating. He is helpful. He served good breakfast with toast and fruits.

It was really great stay. We chose Korean style room, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. I wish we have stayed one more night in Andong to explore the city and cuisine, but in limited time we have focused only on Hahoe Folk Village (which was a highlight in our trip). Breakfast was good, and folks running the hostel friendly.

The guesthouse is located in the perfect spot to use it as a base point to visit Hahoe village as it is at walkable distance from the train station and the bus terminal. The ground floor is a nice cat café full with books. It is really cozy and welcoming. Here they serve the included breakfast which features a lot of options. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and equipped with literally everything you might need including all toiletries. They let you use the laundry free of charge.

Host was friendly and shared about his personal anecdotes during check in. A unique experience as it is a traditional hanok stay. The floor and water heater worked well in the winter, and the room was well insulated. It is also located near a bus stop but it is important to be mindful of when the buses stop operating as well. The bus ride to Hahoe Folk Village took 5 minutes.

First of all, the hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel staff arranged three mornings with the same taxi driver for visiting the three key historical points around Andong. The taxi driver was very nice and competent (he showed us beautfiul roads through the rice fields, avoiding the most direct roads). He was speaking only Korean and we were speaking only English or French. But that was not a major problem!!! Indeed in Hahoe village he introduced us to a French speaking Korean staff from the KFCE.

It is a roof over your head with a mattress for your back. You pay for what you get and (with the exception of breakfast) nothing more. This being said: It is a perfectly reasonable and cheap place to spend the night (we arrived late and left early in the morning to Hahoe village). Breakfast is also an added bonus. It is simple, with sliced bread and a toaster, jam, cereal, milk, juice, and a nice woman does a good fried egg.

Comfortable clean room, simple but good breakfast and nice staff. They have cute cats roaming/sleeping in the cafe area where they also sell nice stationaries and souvenirs. Location is bit far from the centre but close to Andong train and bus station which was my priority. No problem getting around with public transport to the centre and Hahoe Folk Village.

I was already calm reaching through the serene roadways that we travelled to reach here and then felt so peaceful at this culturally sustained exotic piece of tradition for over 400 years. The owner was so helpful like i had read from the previous reviews and no matter watever time one can have here u can make the most of it because I am sure the owner and the people of this village just like it's wonderful nature has the magic to do so. So please include this in ur itinerary for South korea.
