Loved this cottage! It had everything I needed - bed was super comfy and view was wonderfully peaceful (overlooking the fields).

a well appointed cottage, comfortable beds, great layout and shower! so peaceful just outside of the town of Carterton. While on the main road, well set back so it didn’t disturb us. Loved the friendly animals! Catherine was a great host, was able to be there when we arrived, but left us too it. we sat out on the deck in the sun for a few drinks both nights. it was so relaxing after busy days shopping in Featherston, Greytown and wine tours in Martinborough!

Located at the edge of Carterton the cottage is a good base to explore the Martinbourough-region. We also made trips to Cape Palliser, to the Putangirua Pinnacles (the Dimholt Road for lotr-fans), the Rivendell-location and the Waiohine-Gorge. Breakfast with homemade bread and fresh eggs was outstanding and the hosts recommended lovely restaurants. Last but not least - we loved Hazel and Lotta, the two dogs of the family. We'll try to come back soon!

Ruth was the perfect host. Suggesting a place for us to eat out and even booking it for us. The house is in a lovely peaceful location out in the country. The swimming pool was a real bonus.

Spacious studio, well appointed with excellent facilities. Nice range of teas and coffee available. Quiet location. Carterton was a good place to explore.

We were well looked after by Robyn who made us very welcome, we had a comfy room which was just outside Carterton and a quiet location. Robyn provided a well put together folder containing things to see and place's to eat. We can certainly recommend Downtown Pizza 🍕 The main high Street was a 2 minute drive. Although walkable, you would have to walk along state highway 2.
