The location is unique and special, located on an enormous privately-owned reserve near Turon National Forest. There really aren't many like this in the world. If you ever wanted to spend time in a remote section of an Australian forest, you couldn't find a much better choice than this. The wildlife is abundant, the scenery is mind-boggling, and you can completely disconnect from the outside world (you pretty much have to, because there is no internet or mobile phone service in the valley). The cabin was rustic, but very comfortable and with a good kitchen to cook in. The wood stove kept the house warm even on a night that got down to 5C, and the Kookaburras that woke us at dawn each morning were a delight.

The bed and breakfast provides mountain views, a picnic area and a 24-hour front desk. Very nice and relaxed host. The house and the room felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was delicious and mostly homemade. Room and Bathroom were very clean and the bed was really comfy. It's really quiet and after a short drive you are close to everything you want.

Secrets Hideaway Suites is a 2-minute drive from the start of the impressive Grand Canyon Walk. It is a 5-minute drive from Blackheath and a 15-minute drive from Echo Point Lookout where you can see the Three Sisters. Secrets Hideaway is a lovely b&b with fireplaces – at least in the two rooms we stayed – and heated blankets besides. It is a short hike to fabulous views of the nearby canyon and lots of bird life to see along the way and even at the b&b. Breakfast is self-prepared but our refrigerator was constantly stocked with fresh items. We had a great stay. See and George are very nice people and terrific hosts. They kept an eye out for us. We appreciated their help and can highly recommend.
