Owner Normand offers a pick up service and it was great to see him at the VIA Rail station following the earlier snow. I stayed in the themed Egypte Room which was very comfortable with a smart bathroom. The Gite is within walking distance of microbreweries offering food and other restaurants all of which were busy on a Friday evening. Next morning the breakfast was plentiful, refreshing and really tasty - yoghurt with granola followed by a cheese and ham omelette with accompanying fruit and toast. Thanks Normand for a lovely stay, all too short and for taking me to the coach station in yet more snow.

It is 20 minutes drive to L’Anse St Jean, at the Saguenay Fjord, where you can rent kayaks, etc and go on a cruise or whale watching tour. 2 bedrooms are downstairs, cool in summer, the other is a mezzanine level above the open plan living area.
